“The best of both worlds” is a great way to describe this innovative feature – bringing all the benefits of an integrated, online lock system at a fraction of the cost. TLJ Connect marries our offline electronic keycard locks with our online wall-mounted access readers. This creates hybrid or ‘virtual’ online access control. The keycard, fob or wristband is employed as the method of transferring information and instructions around the system.
It brings all the benefits of an integrated, online lock system without the burden of cost such a set-up can bring
Take the case of low batteries in a guest bedroom door lock, which is offline. When a keycard is used to open the door, the lock passes the ‘low battery’ warning to the keycard. The next time the keycard is used with an online Access Control reader, maybe on a corridor or main entrance, this information is passed from the keycard to the reader. The ‘low battery’ warning is uploaded to the TLJ software and the operator is alerted.
An offline reader is able to communicate with the system software, mimicking a (far costlier) online set up.
Did you know?
TLJ Connect is a fantastic way to enjoy the benefits of a fully online installation without the associated cost and upheaval. All our keycard door locks are self-contained and battery powered, meaning simple, low cost installation. No additional wiring is needed for any room doors, because the keycard acts as a portable read/write device.
