Still a work in progress… but what a work in progress!
TLJ are installing over 350 electronic locks on apartments and communal doors throughout the luxury build-to-rent (BTR) development, on behalf of builder Watkin Jones. The project, funded by property giant M&G Real Estate, occupies a high-profile site adjacent to Reading train station. Thames Quarter will ultimately provide 315 apartments and a variety of amenity spaces including resident lounges, a tech hub, an in-house cinema, dining rooms and landscaped upper-level terraces. The building is a split height structure, with 12-storey and 23-storey sections.
TLJ’s Invisble lock set was chosen to complement the high-end aspirations of this prestigious BTR development. Subtle and unobtrusive, all the working parts of the lock are hidden inside the mortise, giving the installation a traditional look and feel. A specifier’s dream, it’s possible to choose almost any combination of lever, escutcheon and cylinder to match the rest of the decor, making Invisible the perfect choice.
We’ll be reporting on further developments at Thames Quarter as the project nears completion.
All installation and commissioning of our locks in the Republic of Ireland is carried out by PSA licensed contractors
