TLJ have upgraded the electronic locks at Shunde Place in Coventry with Bluetooth operation. Our innovative system, called Mobile Keys, allows users to open doors using their Smartphone.
Shunde Place, operated by Apps Living, is a modern, luxury Student Accommodation development in the city centre. Opened in 2017, TLJ were chosen to install our Infinity electronic key card locks on all student bedroom doors, with access readers on all public doors. Electronic RFID activation, via key card, was fitted as standard, however Apps Living were keen to exploit our latest Smartphone solution. A significant number of their students are from overseas, where this technology is becoming commonplace.
We worked with Apps Living to roll out one of the first installs of Mobile Keys, upgrading each electronic lock and access reader with Bluetooth functionality. Every user simply installs our TLJ Mobile Keys app to their phone (Android or iOS) and digitally encrypted keys are sent to them via the cloud, in much the same way as cutting an RFID key card. It’s easy, convenient and secure.
